Newport Beach: Wish you were here!
After a 20-year hiatus, Thomas returned to oil painting several years ago when he received commissions to paint his favorite subject, the ocean and coastline. These two canvasses re-create photos taken while fishing in the Newport Bay in California. The two photos that create the panoramic view from the Bay when heading out to sea along Corona del Mar are the inspiration for the two canvasses that capture that view. Filled with exact details of this scene, Thomas added only one object from his memory—the sailboat “Aries T” that is a replica of his boat in England. A lover of natural beauty, Thomas appreciates both the natural beauty of the beach and tide pools as well as the impressive homes along the shore cliffs. Living at the beach, whether in a new mansion or an old home in need of renovation, it seems to him impossible for anyone to be miserable.
Original oil painting measures 6 feet wide by 2 feet in height. The original is on sale for $30,000 or as a limited edition for $10,000
